Role of the Standardized Patient: The Simulated/Standardized Patient
(SP) is a person who has been carefully coached to simulate an actual
patient so accurately that the simulation cannot be detected by a
skilled healthcare provider. In performing the simulation, the SP
presents not only the history, but the body language, the physical
findings, and the emotional and personality
characteristics as well
- Opportunity to contribute to the education of learners in multiple healthcare fields
- Increase your knowledge of the medical profession
- Occurs periodically throughout the year (flexible schedules helpful)
- If you are dependable, have a good memory, committed to confidentiality, and able to think on your feet, this might be for you!
- Looking for men and women, ages 18-75
- A stipend is provided.
